Nine Grams of Fentanyl — Vetoed Twice

SB 1725 (2025) and SB 1061 (2026) both pushed a nine-gram fentanyl threshold. Hobbs vetoed both.

Sometimes the veto is so consistent it looks like a policy.

Arizona Republicans sent Hobbs nine-gram fentanyl trafficking bills in consecutive cycles. She vetoed SB 1725 in 2025 and SB 1061 in 2026.

That’s not a misunderstanding. That’s a governor who will not let the Legislature draw a hard line on poison.
