Hobbs Made It Harder to Remove Unlawful Occupants

SB 1129 and later HB 2047 tried to speed removal of people unlawfully occupying homes. Vetoed.

If someone takes over your house, you shouldn’t need a semester of court to get it back.

Hobbs vetoed unlawful-occupant removal and later vetoed writ-of-restitution / criminal trespass reforms. Homeowners got process. Squatters got time.

Property rights are affordability. Hobbs chose the veto.
