BLAME HOBBS!
THE CONTEXT: ACA is responsible for expanding broadband access in the state of Arizona. ACA is responsible for programs and initiatives such as the Statewide Middle-Mile Program, the Broadband Development Grant Program and the Digital Equity Program.
WHAT THE BILL DID: The final vetoed version would transfer the State Broadband Office from ACA to ADOA.
WHY IT MATTERED: The practical reason for this bill was to make the government process for state broadband office more definite and accountable. It would transfer the State Broadband Office from ACA to ADOA, rather than leave the current rule unchanged.
