THE CONTEXT: The Arizona State Board of Geographic and Historic Names ( ASBGHN ) is required to receive and evaluate all proposals to establish or designate a highway or area as a parkway, historic road or scenic road that is of geographic or historical significance in this state. After this evaluation ASBGHN must designate the most appropriate and acceptable names and spelling of these names for use in maps and other official governmental documents.

WHY IT MATTERED: The practical reason for this bill was to make the government process for charlie kirk loop 202 more definite and accountable. It would designate the Loop 202 as the Charlie Kirk Loop 202, and would also asserts that all official acts, state records, documents and papers relating to the Loop 202, after the effective date, must include the designation Charlie Kirk Loop 202, rather than leave the current rule unchanged.
