THE CONTEXT: The Commission establishes the rules and regulations for managing, conserving and protecting wildlife. The Commission is comprised of five members appointed by the Governor, subject to Senate confirmation, who serve five-year terms.

WHAT THE BILL DID: The final vetoed version would restricts the Commission from: a; transporting Mexican gray wolf puppies into state boundaries; or b; spending public monies or using public resources for the transportation of Mexican gray wolf puppies into state boundaries; c; d; e.

WHY IT MATTERED: The practical reason for this bill was to define the water, land, energy, or environmental rule for public monies more clearly. It would restricts the Commission from: a. transporting Mexican gray wolf puppies into state boundaries; or b. spending public monies or using public resources for the transportation of Mexican gray wolf puppies into state boundaries. c. d. e, rather than leave the current rule unchanged.
